The Garden Grove Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will honor its pioneers in a celebration Saturday.
The event commemorates the westward migration of church members to Utah in the 19th century. The event, which is open to the public, will include games, entertainment and food. Children, many of them dressed as pioneers, will hold a pioneer walk at noon.
Festivities will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stanford Building, 10212 Stanford Ave., east of Brookhurst Street. Information: (714) 636-1261.
