Many La Colonia Juarez residents, angered by survey results they said did not accurately reflect the community’s desire to preserve the Calle Zaragosa mural, faced off with city officials at a community meeting recently. They said the survey unfairly limited questions to residents of three of the six streets in the neighborhood. “We’re all part of the same community,” resident Carl Lara said Monday.
The city’s housing coordinator, Chris Corbin, said a new survey will be issued soon to residents on all six streets.
