Patrick’s Day for Matadors

Second baseman Kevin Patrick had four hits and Jim Debiase gave up five hits in seven innings to help visiting Cal State Northridge to a 13-1 victory over UC Santa Barbara in a nonconference baseball game Saturday.
Patrick had three singles and a double in six at-bats as Northridge collected 17 hits against six Santa Barbara pitchers.
Daniel Phillips had two hits and drove in three runs for Northridge (4-2), which won its second consecutive game after losing two.
Daryl Grant, Jeremy Sickles and J.T. Stotts had two hits for the Matadors, who had 10 players with hits.
Debiase (1-0) struck out two, walked three and gave up one earned run.
Bryan LaCour, formerly of Chatsworth High, had two hits for Santa Barbara (1-2).
