2 Men Killed by Deputies Identified
Two men slain by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies in separate shooting incidents Saturday were identified Sunday, and the deputies involved were taken off street duties while the shootings are investigated.
A Malibu man who was shot after allegedly threatening deputies with a pair of scissors was identified by the coroner’s office as Lawrence Jones, 48.
The other man, shot near downtown after allegedly brandishing a handgun at officers, was identified as Dion Deshawn Goodloe, 19.
