LAGUNA BEACH
Would-be artists attending Laguna Beach Unified schools won’t have to worry about old paintbrushes or a shortage of paint for a while. The district is purchasing art materials for classrooms thanks to $860 raised at the city’s First Thursday’s Art Walk in December. Galleries donated a one-year membership to the Laguna Art Museum and original artwork and books by local artists, which were then auctioned off during the fund-raiser.
A city bus provides the community and visitors a free tour of galleries on the first Thursday of each month. Information: (949) 497-0722.
