Consultant Reelected to VICA Chairmanship
Steven W. Lew, a Universal Studios consultant, has been elected to a second term as chairman of the Valley Industry and Commerce Assn. Cathy Maguire of the Gas Company was elected executive vice chair.
Lew is a past president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, a member of the California Travel and Tourism Commission and the Los Angeles mayor’s blue ribbon committee to study police and fire infrastructure, and is active in other national, state and local business promotion organizations.
Lew said he will continue to work for legislation that will strengthen business opportunities and growth in the San Fernando Valley.
“To this end, VICA is committed to working with local, state and federal elected officials to better define, revitalize and market our community and its financial and cultural leadership potential to the regional and world marketplace,†Lew said.
Other VICA officers for 1999 are: David Auger of Time Warner Communications; Ric Hill of 20th Century Insurance; Sandy Miller-Goldman of BFI; Robert Pearlman of Grant Thornton LLP, and Alan Ungar of Financial Counsel Inc.
Peter J. Satuloff of Anderson, Satuloff, Machado & Mendelsohn will serve as the group’s treasurer, and William R. Fariss of the Department of Water and Power will be the secretary.
Bonny Herman will continue as president.
