Keating Commits to Missouri KC

Marina High outside hitter Katie Keating has committed to play volleyball at the University of Missouri Kansas City, her father, Jim, said Sunday.

An All-Sunset League first team selection, the 5-foot-6 Keating was considered to be one of the county’s best defensive players. She was awarded most valuable player honors last week for leading the Orange County Volleyball Club to the championship of the New Year’s Classic invitational club tournament.

Brant Hill, who played on the offensive and defensive lines and linebacker the last two seasons at Newport Harbor High, has committed to play football at Nevada, Sailor Coach Jeff Brinkley said.
