* West Winston Road: Report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 2500 block at 1:25 a.m. Jan. 1.
* East Broadway: Report of a robbery with a weapon in the 500 block at 5:45 p.m. Jan. 1.
* East Belmont Avenue: Report of a forced residential burglary in the 1600 block at 1:42 p.m. Jan. 1.
BREA
* South Orange Avenue: The loss of $255 was reported in the 200 block at 12:38 p.m. Jan. 1.
BUENA PARK
* Via Sola Circle: Someone burned profanity into the grass by using fertilizer in the 6700 block; reported at 10:39 a.m. Jan. 1.
* Beach Boulevard: A caller reported that someone broke into a van by smashing the sliding doors and stole a CD player in the 7600 block at 1:02 p.m. Saturday.
* Commonwealth Avenue: Report of a person trying to cash a counterfeit check in the 8200 block at 3:03 p.m. Saturday.
COSTA MESA
* Avenue of the Arts: Two purses and their contents worth $253 were stolen from a car in the 3400 block between 3:30 and 3:50 p.m. Saturday.
* Paularino Avenue: A set of tools worth $450 was stolen from a home in the 500 block sometime between Jan. 1 and Sunday.
CYPRESS
* Hope Street and Katella Avenue: An abandoned vehicle was reported at 10:39 p.m. Saturday.
DANA POINT
* Calle la Primavera: Report of a party disturbance in the 34000 block at 12:25 a.m. Jan. 1.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY
* Bushard Street: Report of a burglary in the 17000 block at 4:49 p.m. Monday; thief broke into a trailer near the football field at a high school and stole property.
* Brookhurst Street: Report of commercial petty theft in the 16000 block at 6:21 p.m. Tuesday; suspect took a video game kit and a video game cartridge from video store.
FULLERTON
* Orangethorpe Avenue: Report of fraud in the 1700 block at 9:29 p.m. Monday; male suspect attempted to write a bad check.
* North Gilbert Street: Report of road rage in the 100 block at 11:34 a.m. Monday; a male driver with a female passenger in an older model Nissan Pulsar allegedly tried to hit another vehicle.
GARDEN GROVE
* Bolsa Avenue: Report of a vehicle burglary in the 10000 block at 6:24 a.m. Sunday.
HUNTINGTON BEACH
* Pettswood Drive: A resident reported that his car window was smashed out, but nothing stolen, in the 9000 block at 8:25 a.m. Monday.
* Koledo Lane: A 1987 green Chevy Astro van was stolen from the 17000 block at 8:35 p.m. Monday.
* Wayfarer Lane: A television worth $300 was stolen from a garage in the 16000 block at 8:48 a.m. Monday.
* Orange Avenue: A woman reported that her building in the 300 block was vandalized for the third time in recent months at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
IRVINE
* Tangelo: Report of eggs being thrown at a home in the 400 block at 12:56 a.m. Sunday.
* Campus Drive: Report of a stabbing at a nightclub in the 4200 block at 1:08 a.m. Sunday; a white male with a shaved head allegedly stabbed someone below the shoulder blade.
LAGUNA BEACH
* Homewood Place: A briefcase, pager and Thomas Guide were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 31900 block Monday.
LAGUNA HILLS
* Moulton Parkway: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 26000 block at 8:21 p.m. Sunday.
* Cabot Road: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 25000 block at 2:37 a.m. Sunday.
LAGUNA NIGUEL
* Seaspray East: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 100 block at 2:04 p.m. Sunday.
LA HABRA
* La Habra Boulevard at Idaho Street: Report of shots fired at 1:17 a.m. Sunday. Police were unable to locate a suspect.
* North Bedford Street: Report of a prowler in the 300 block at 4:50 a.m. Sunday. Suspect was gone when police arrived.
LAKE FOREST
* Normandale Drive: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 26000 block at 2:52 p.m. Sunday.
* Shadywood: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 25000 block at 4:58 p.m. Sunday.
LA PALMA
* Walker Street: A car license plate was reported stolen in the 8300 block at 1:32 p.m. Sunday.
LOS ALAMITOS
* Katella Avenue: A resident reported that vandals caused $2,000 worth of damage to a horse trailer at 10:42 a.m. Monday.
* Katella Avenue: Report of a wallet stolen from a locker, the second such theft in one day, at 5:52 p.m. Tuesday.
MISSION VIEJO
* Via Cereza: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 22000 block at 10:21 a.m. Sunday.
* Via Damasco: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 26000 block at 3:23 p.m. Sunday.
NEWPORT BEACH
* Crystal Avenue: A purse and its contents worth $650 were stolen from a car in the 300 block sometime Sunday evening.
* Catamaran Drive: A bicycle worth $4,000 was stolen from a home in the 3600 block sometime during the evening of Jan. 1.
ORANGE
* East Lincoln Avenue: A resident reported a burglary and unlawful entry in the 1400 block at 2:50 p.m. Saturday.
* West Hoover Avenue: Police recovered a stolen vehicle in the 200 block at 8:24 a.m. Jan. 1.
* South Pixley Street and West La Veta Avenue: Police arrested a motorist for misdemeanor drunk driving at 1:19 a.m. Saturday.
* East Vista del Playa: Report of vandalism to a residence in the 900 block at 3:45 p.m. Saturday.
PLACENTIA
* El Camino: Report of checks stolen from a mailbox in the 300 block at 12:04 p.m. Monday.

* Calle Puente: Report of reckless driving in the 800 block at 8:10 a.m. Jan. 1.

* Verdugo Street: Report of a robbery alarm in the 26000 block at 7:18 p.m. Saturday.

* West 17th Street: A man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting after he was allegedly found with $63 worth of items from a HomeBase store in the 1400 block at 2:05 p.m. Saturday.
SEAL BEACH
* Marina Drive: Someone set a fire under a fire sprinkler, causing it to go off and resulting in water damage to a building at 10:46 p.m. Saturday.
STANTON
* Beach Boulevard: Report of a burglary with an audible alarm in the 12000 block at 11:36 a.m. Sunday.
* Cedar Street: Report of a burglary with an audible alarm in the 11000 block at 9:21 p.m. Monday.
TUSTIN
* Hazel Road: Report of trespassing in the 2200 block at 4:01 p.m. Monday; resident said six juveniles were playing in the patio and on the roof.
* Carfax Drive: Report of vandalism in the 14700 block at 10:55 a.m. Sunday.

* Westminster Mall: A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of burglary at 2:32 p.m. Saturday.
