A 35-year-old former cheerleading coach on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to charges that she molested a 13-year-old Santa Ana boy she met at Willard Intermediate School. Heather Jean Graham, a Santa Ana homemaker and mother of three, declined to comment after the brief hearing in Santa Ana.
The next court date is a pretrial hearing scheduled Feb. 26. Graham, a former parent volunteer for the school’s cheerleading squad, is free on $50,000 bail after being arrested in November. Graham has been charged with three felony counts of committing lewd and lascivious acts on a person under 14 years of age. If convicted, she could face 12 years in prison, according to Deputy Dist. Atty. Matt Murphy.
