Hamilton 43, Chatsworth 34--Liz Sun scored 14 points for Chatsworth (16-12) in a City Division semifinal game at Loyola Marymount.

Forward Jody Gilzene had 12 points and 16 rebounds, and forward Mishale Hackett had 12 points and 13 rebounds for Hamilton (15-8).

Poly 52, North Hollywood 45--Guard Sef Vargas scored 19 points and had 11 assists, and forward Joe Edwards had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Parrots in a City Division semifinal game.

Vargas hit two clutch three-point baskets in the fourth quarter and sank free throws in the final minute to seal the victory for 13th-seeded Poly (16-11), which plays Jefferson in the championship game on Saturday at Loyola Marymount.

“Sef hit some big shots and Joe played the best game of his life,� Poly Coach Jay Warner said.

“It was ugly but I’ll take it.�

Jason McKissick scored 11 points for the Huskies (14-13) and Dominic Johnson added nine points.

Rahmell Johnson had six assists, four steals and eight points, including a three-point basket that brought the Huskies to within 47-45 with 48 seconds left.
