Big Finish Carries El Camino Real
El Camino Real High scored four goals in the final 20 minutes to pull away for a 5-0 victory over North Hollywood in a first-round game of the City Championship girls’ soccer playoffs Tuesday at El Camino Real.
Maytal Shvartz, Laine Montgomery, Melissa Cleal and Kori McLaughlin each scored in the second half for the third-seeded Conquistadores (12-5-2).
Freshmen goalkeepers Miko Penn and Jamie Miller combined on the shutout.
Traci Noblitt made 19 saves for North Hollywood (10-4).

Granada Hills 2, Cleveland 0--Amy Bart and Amanda Schlank each scored goals and Morgan Tharp recorded her fourth shutout for host Granada Hills (9-9).
