Young, a 6-6 forward, scored 33 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the Eagles’ 70-42 first-round victory over Riverside Notre Dame in the Southern Section Division IV-A playoffs. Young, who has led the county in scoring most of the season, is averaging 23.5 points overall and 12.3 rebounds in the Olympic League. Young, a pitcher on the baseball team, has signed to play baseball at Mississippi.
