The Walker Junior High School Parent Teacher Student Assn. presented Honorary Service Awards to two people and a local organization Tuesday night. The PTSA gave awards to counselor Jason Alleman, now in his second year at the school; PTSA President Debbie Fenn, who has been involved with local PTSAs for about 16 years; and the local chapter of the Lions Club, which supports and rewards students who are good citizens and earn high grades.
The awards are one of the PTSA’s highest honors; donations are made in the recipients’ names to support a national student loan and scholarship program.
