Duke Takes Top Spot From Connecticut
After Connecticut’s loss to Syracuse last week, Duke reclaimed the top spot in the Associated Press poll.
Duke (23-1), No. 1 for the first two weeks of the season before losing to Cincinnati in the Great Alaska Shootout, received 59 first-place votes and 1,763 points from the national media panel.
Connecticut (20-1) fell to second with 12 first-place votes and 1,712 points after its 59-42 loss to Syracuse.
Meanwhile, Auburn (22-1) reached No. 3, achieving its highest ranking since one week at No. 2 in February 1959.

Tennessee held the No. 1 spot for the fifth consecutive week in the Associated Press women’s poll, receiving 41 of 42 first-place votes.
