Council to Consider Townhome Project
The City Council tonight will consider a large rental-townhome project planned for a 22-acre site at the southeast corner of Williams Drive and Wankel Way.
Proposed by the Oxnard- and Van Nuys-based Lauterbach and Associates, the project consists of 374 townhome units in 34 two- and three-story buildings. It includes 24 one-bedroom units, 286 two-bedroom units and 64 three-bedroom units.
Joyce Parker-Bozylinski, city planning and environmental services manager, said the property has a density allowance inconsistent with the city’s General Plan and will have to be amended in any future application request.
A final decision on the project will not be made until a formal application has been filed and the project has undergone an environmental review and evaluation for consistency with city policies.
