In nonleague girls’ basketball:
Riverside North 59, No. 4 Mater Dei 25--The visiting Monarchs (16-5) were outscored, 17-0, in the first quarter and trailed, 31-8, at the half. North (23-2) is ranked second in Division I--A.
No. 9 Foothill 54, Century 33--Chavaughn Brown and Kristen Mann each scored 17 to lead Foothill (21-3).
In Garden Grove League wrestling finals:
Santiago dominates--Santiago had 10 finalists, six of whom won their weight class. Santiago’s Daniel Melendez pinned Bolsa Grande’s William Ramirez in 2:22 at 189 pounds and was named the most valuable wrestler in the upper divisions.
Rancho Alamitos’ Albert Valencia pinned Santiago’s Glend Padua in 1:37 at 119 pounds. Valencia was named the most valuable wrestler of the lower divisions.
In the Sea View League finals:
Irvine wins--Seven wrestlers won individual titles to lead Irvine (197 points). Heavyweight Josh Worthington, ranked No. 2 in the county, won by pin in 1:27 for Irvine. Andy Twentyman, ranked No. 1 at 152 pounds, won by pin in 1:58 to lead El Toro to a second-place finish (156 points). Robert Valenzuela (39-0) won by pin in 49 seconds for fourth-place Woodbridge.
In the South Coast League finals:
San Clemente wins--The Tritons took first with 155 points, followed by Dana Hills (145).
