LOCAL NOTES
Four county players have sent letters of intent to play women’s soccer at Pepperdine, the university announced.
Kristi Bissonette (forward/midfielder) and Susan Palmer (defender) from Los Alamitos, and two midfielder/defenders, Kiley Hamilton (Dana Hills) and Ann Desmond (Mission Viejo) signed with the Waves.
Desmond will be joining her sister, Kate, who is a freshman at Pepperdine.

Craig Pazanti was named girls’ volleyball coach at Mater Dei, Girls Athletic Director Geri Campeau said. Pazanti replaces Ron Cheser, who resigned after last season.
Pazanti, 27, of Huntington Beach, is a graduate of Baylor and was an assistant woman’s volleyball coach there last year.
