There is now an eighth prospective candidate for the city’s April 11 council elections. Leisure World resident Chuk Zoffer picked up nomination papers Wednesday.
He joins incumbents Ann Snider, Victor Kay and Brenda Ross and challengers Robert Bouer, Helen Mencher, Mary Stone and Jan Nelson McLaughlin.

He said his biggest concerns are elimination of plans for the proposed airport at El Toro and building up alternative revenue sources for the city apart from Leisure World.
