Eisenhower Press Trips Littlerock in Valencia Final
After surviving the defensive pressure of Lynwood High the night before, Littlerock faced a similar challenge against Eisenhower in the championship game of the Valencia tournament.
This time the Lobos cracked in a 58-42 defeat Saturday night at Valencia High.
“I don’t know how many turnovers we made but I think we must have set some kind of record,†Littlerock Coach Ben Dale said. “Lynwood put the same kind of pressure on us, but it’s a different night and a different team.â€
Maybe so, but it was the same approach that Eisenhower (8-1) applied in breezing to the final. In their four tournament victories, the most points the Eagles allowed was 45.
The Lobos (7-3) kept up until midway through the second quarter when center Brandon White picked up his third foul. The Eagles led, 23-17, at halftime and stretched it to 24 points in the third quarter.
Gene Myvett, Littlerock’s leading scorer, was had 11 points.
