The City Council is expected to vote today on a two-year contract that would give members of the Placentia City Employees Assn. raises and benefits increases totaling about 7% through September 2001.
The union members, including police officers, maintenance workers, secretaries and clerks, would receive 4% salary increases retroactive to Sept. 19. Another 2% wage increase would be granted in September of next year.
Other increases to the employees’ retirement plans would bring the total compensation package up to about 7% of the current wages and benefits.
