Hats Indoors
Re “Tipping Your Hat to Policy,” Voices, Aug. 21: Not too long ago, it was considered impolite for a boy or man to wear a hat inside a house, school, office, elevator or any other building. Instead of worrying about what kind of hat the students can or cannot wear, why not have them hang their hats in their lockers when they come to school and before they enter the classroom? A gentleman removes his hat indoors; it’s called manners.
