A proposal to combine two lots for a 76-bed home for the elderly at Bastanchury Road and Prospect Avenue will be discussed at tonight’s Planning Commission meeting. The adjacent parcels totaling eight acres must be combined before the city can approve the project, a city report said.
The assisted-care home for elderly people would be operated by Irvine-based Eastern Star Homes in the former Charter Hospital medical building. The property is in a commercial office zone. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 4845 Casa Loma Ave.
