After Cypress College received a six-year accreditation, President Marjorie Lewis challenged faculty to enhance the quality of education and services for the 15,000-plus students and the Cypress community.
In her recent state-of-the-college address, Lewis proposed that instructors think of ways to devise courses for working adults who may otherwise be excluded from classes. She also announced plans for a record-number hiring of faculty and top administrative personnel to increase diversity among employees.
