Store Loses 600 Jeans in Burglary
As many as 600 pairs of Levi’s jeans of various sizes were stolen early Sunday from El Pantalones clothing store in the Rose Shopping Center, police said.
“[The thieves] would almost certainly turn around and sell them on the street, at a swap meet or to other clothing stores,†said Oxnard Police Sgt. T.W. Lumas, adding that the total value of the stolen goods was unknown.
Lumas said the back door of the store, in the 2000 block of North Rose Ave., was pried open between 5:30 and 6 a.m.
Responding to an alarm, police arrived and discovered the items missing.
