Man Killed by 3 Armed Intruders

LOS ANGELES — At least three men barged into a Mount Olympus home Thursday, tied up a husband and wife, then one of the gunmen fatally shot the man.
The home invasion in the 2300 block of Mount Olympus Drive started about 5 p.m., said Los Angeles Police Officer Jason Lee.
The three to four attackers fled in the dead man’s black Mercedes-Benz, which was found abandoned a few blocks away.
Late Thursday night, police were scouring the area for the suspects, said Officer Don Cox.
Police said the slain man was in his 60s, but did not release his name.
He was shot in the stomach, and his wife was physically assaulted but not seriously injured.
Detectives were interviewing her Thursday night.
