The Police Department will attempt to raise bicycle safety awareness at its annual DARE Fair & Bike Rodeo on Saturday. The event, co-sponsored by the Irvine Unified School District and Irvine Community Drug Prevention, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at City Hall, 1 Civic Center Plaza. The DARE fair highlights stunt bike riding and in-line skating, and the rodeo challenges students to an obstacle course teaching bicycle safety skills. There will be drawings throughout the day for bikes, helmets and in-line skates. Lunch is free. Information: (949) 724-7149.
