IRVINE
The Irvine Unified School District has appointed Beverley Khalil-White as Sierra Vista Middle School’s new principal. A 16-year district employee, Khalil-White has been the principal at Westwood Basics Plus Elementary School for seven years. She succeeds Jean Mylen, who was recently named the new principal at Vista Verde Elementary school. Mylen is taking over for Bruce Terry, who was appointed principal of the district’s new Plaza Vista Elementary School. The new year-round school is scheduled to open with kindergarten through sixth-grade students July 28.
