* The Museum of Contemporary Art/San Diego has on display “Sacred Mirrors: The Visionary Art of Alex Grey” through May 30. Grey’s Sacred Mirrors series, created between 1979 and 1989, begins inside the body, then depicts the outer body and finally the spiritual realm. 700 Prospect St., La Jolla. * The Old Globe Theatre presents “The Magic Fire,” a memory play about 1950s Buenos Aires by Lillian Garrett-Groag, beginning May 29. Tuesdays through Fridays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 and 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 and 7 p.m. $30 to $39. Ends July 3. (619) 239-2255

* The San Diego Museum of Natural History has on display the traveling exhibition “The Nature of Diamonds” through Sept. 7. Among the more than 100 gems and jewels on loan from public and private collections is the 407.48-carat Incomparable, the third-largest cut diamond in the world. The museum is in Balboa Park, near the intersection of Park Boulevard and Village Place. Open daily 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. $12. $10 seniors, students; $5 ages 6 to 17; 5 and under, free.
