The Kings have added injury to the insult of a nonplayoff season, with winger Russ Courtnall and defenseman Philippe Boucher undergoing operations Tuesday.

Boucher’s right foot was operated on because of a bone spur, and Courtnall went through an arthroscopic examination of his right shoulder.

They joined winger Josh Green, who had shoulder surgery a week ago, among the postseason injured.

Boucher and Green--who spent much of the season in the AHL with Springfield--are signed for next season, and Courtnall is an unrestricted free agent. All are expected to be ready for training camp.

Kings and Lakers officials will be on hand today in El Segundo for the groundbreaking of their joint practice facility.

The building, which will house two ice rinks and practice basketball courts, plus offices for both teams, is expected to be ready for use in October.
