FOUNTAIN VALLEY
The City Council voted recently not to comply with the Orange County Grand Jury’s recommendation that cities and school districts stop using gasoline-powered leaf blowers. The recommendation was in a report issued in February that gave the city until May 16 to reply. City staff concluded the alternative would be to increase sweeping, which would increase labor costs.
