Man Gets 90 Days in Molestation of 2 Girls
A man convicted of molesting two young girls at a Van Nuys supermarket was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in jail and ordered to receive counseling.
Jorge Flores, 36, of Lynwood pleaded no contest to one count of sexual battery at Van Nuys Municipal Court on Monday, said Mike Qualls, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney’s office.
Flores was placed on three years’ probation and must register as a sex offender with local police, Qualls said. Flores also must attend at least two meetings with Sexual Compulsives Anonymous every week for six months.
Flores was ordered to stay away from the 9- and 11-year-old girls he molested in March, and from the supermarket in the 15000 block of Vanowen Street, Qualls said.
According to Qualls, Flores rubbed against the two girls in a supermarket aisle as they looked at school supplies.
