The City Council on Tuesday will review a study on the amount the city pays the Orange County Fire Authority for firefighting services. “In some cases, some cities may [pay too much],” said Fire Authority spokesman Scott Brown. “In others, they may not pay enough.” The Fire Authority provides services for 19 Orange County cities, including Placentia. Brown said the study, which seeks to determine whether there should be an adjustment to the price, would not affect the services residents receive. “The OCFA has a strong commitment to provide high quality, cost-effective fire protection,” he said.
