The Huntington Beach Central Library, 7111 Talbert Ave., will celebrate National Library Week by turning over storytelling duties to some top city officials. Among the scheduled storytellers: Police Chief Ron Lowenberg and City Administrator Ray Silver will double up at 3 p.m. Thursday to tell tales to children in kindergarten through fourth grade, and Planning Director Howard Zelefsky, City Attorney Gail Hutton, Director of Administrative Services John Reekstin and Director of Public Works Bob Beardsley share the stage at 10 a.m. Friday for Preschool Storytime for children 3 to 5.
