Officials to Explain Plans for Casitas Dam

Federal Bureau of Reclamation officials will hold a public meeting this week to explain plans to reinforce Casitas Dam to withstand a strong earthquake and provisions for alarms and evacuations if the dam breaks.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at DeAnza Middle School auditorium, 2060 Cameron St.
A draft of the plan will be completed later this fall and public meetings will follow to discuss it.
