First Lady Seeks Votes for Schumer

First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton campaigned for Rep. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), urging voters to consider the Senate hopeful’s record on women’s issues in his race against incumbent Republican Sen. Alfonse M. D’Amato. Clinton and Schumer appeared at a $1,000-a-head fund-raising luncheon in Manhattan. Schumer, an 18-year House veteran, won the Democratic Senate nomination last week.
