L.A. Lutheran 20, Bermuda Dunes Desert Christian 8--Ernie Azpetia rushed 17 times for 100 yards and quarterback Chuck Crable scored two touchdowns for the Lions in a nonleague game at L.A. Baptist.
Azpetia had two interceptions and 14 tackles, seven unassisted.
Crable rushed five times for 71 yards and touchdown runs of 25 and 34 yards.
He completed five of 16 passes for 56 yards, including a 18-yard touchdown pass to Jung Jun.
Westmark 20, Pacific Christian 0--David Forman rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns to lift the Lions to their first football victory at Grant High.
In its third season of football, Westmark (1-0) ended an 18-game losing streak.
