Beach Reopens After Tests for Bacteria
A 1 1/2-mile stretch of beach between Marina del Rey and Vista del Mar Park in the South Bay was reopened Monday after new tests near the Hyperion sewage treatment plant showed the bacterial count dropping to acceptable levels.
Richard Kebabjian, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, said the closure lasted just one day.
