Oughton, Jackson Score as Titans Beat Kentucky in Soccer

Duncan Oughton and Colby Jackson scored second-half goals Friday to lead host Cal State Fullerton to a 2-0 men’s soccer victory over Kentucky in the FILA Classic.
In an earlier game, third-ranked Virginia defeated San Diego, 1-0. Fullerton (2-0) plays Virginia at 8 p.m. Sunday.
In the Far Western men’s soccer tournament:
Chico State 3, Southern California College 2 (OT)--Andy Valderrama scored the winning goal in the 99th minute. Aaron Grillo and Felix Hernandez, who was assisted by Fermin Gonzalez, scored for SCC (0-2).
In nonconference women’s soccer:
UC Irvine 2, Toledo 0--Nicole Bucciarelli and Stephanie Rigamat scored in the final 15 minutes. Bucciarelli, a senior, scored the unassisted goal at the 74th minute. Rigamat, a sophomore, scored on a header after a cross from Allison Marra at the 83:20 mark.
In the Titan women’s volleyball tournament:
Cal State Fullerton 3, Southwestern Louisiana 2--After losing the first game, 14-16, the Titans came back with 15-13, 15-7 victories. Losing the next game, 8-15, Cal State Fullerton (1-1) won the fifth, 15-4. Alisa Geddes had 25 kills to lead the Titans. Teammate Krista Charles had 55 assists.
