Funeral services for Vanessa Galvan, a freshman on the Fullerton College women’s soccer team who drowned Aug. 29, will be held this morning at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Whittier. Galvan, who would have been a starting midfielder for the Hornets, was swimming laps in a pool in Big Bear and was discovered unconscious by a relative. She graduate from Whittier High School.
