Jeff Holen has been hired as the girls’ tennis coach at Valencia High, replacing Annie Kellogg, who resigned after three seasons.
The job is Holen’s first as a tennis coach. He was an assistant for The Master’s College baseball team from 1994-96.
Kellogg coached the Valencia girls’ and boys’ teams the last three seasons but left the girls’ team to concentrate on her master’s degree.
“Doing both seasons is really tough,” said Kellogg, who will remain as the boys’ coach. “I’ll still help out sometimes.” Under Kellogg, the Vikings were 6-12, including a 2-8 Foothill League record.
