Casa Pacifica Hosts Tea for Volunteers
Casa Pacifica, a shelter for abused and neglected children, is searching for volunteers to help make a difference in a child’s life.
Those interested are invited to afternoon tea Sept. 12 to kick off the volunteer drive for the Casa Pacifica Angels.
In the past, the organization has put hundreds of volunteers to work as tutors, coaches, library support and counselors at the shelter near Camarillo.
The membership tea will be from 10 a.m. to noon at a private home in Somis.
The organization will also sponsor a wine and food festival in October, a Holiday Boutique in November and the Angels Ball in December.
