Pedestrian Safety
Re “More Steps Urged to Protect Pedestrians,†Aug. 7:
Add to the list an LAX expansion funding mechanism for pedestrian safety. As a chief generator of regional economic activity, LAX needs to bear more responsibility for its contribution to traffic and pedestrian conflicts. If the airport is going to expand, it should have to pay for pedestrian safety projects throughout the city.
