Suspension for Breech at Paraclete
Tommy Breech, leading receiver for Paraclete High’s football team, has been suspended for two games because of an off-campus incident last month, Father William Caffrey, the school’s principal, said Thursday.
Breech, a senior, has 16 receptions for 371 yards and five touchdowns. He will miss Paraclete’s game tonight against Rosamond and next Friday against Marshall.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Zero tolerance: Ventura College will put its perfect record in Western State Conference play on the line at 4 today against Glendale at Ventura.
Ventura (10-0-2) is 8-0 in conference play and has won the WSC title every year since its inception in 1996.
Ventura is 52-6-5 under Coach Steve Hoffman, 34-1-2 in conference play.
Freshman Chrissy Sanford from Newbury Park High has 22 goals for Ventura.

Back on track: Moorpark ended a two-match losing streak Tuesday with a 35-14 victory over Santa Ana.

MISCELLANY
Remember when: Ralph Ahn of Mission Hills, Bob Simpson of Agoura and Stan Cerro of Sylmar were honored Thursday at a reunion of Manual Arts High football players in Commerce.
Ahn, a former Alemany High coach, played linebacker on the 1943 Manual Arts team. Simpson played on the Toilers’ City champions in 1934 and Cerro played on a City champion in 1936.
