Annual Oktoberfest Serves as Fund-Raiser

The Friends of Cypress Cultural Arts are gearing up for the annual fund-raising Oktoberfest on Saturday.
The event will include live German music, dance contests, a Cypress Art League silent auction, a crafters boutique and activities for children. Organizers also boast “the best bratwurst around” and a beer garden.
Bob Markwood will unleash some magic at an afternoon show. Proceeds will support scholarships in the arts and community art programs.
The event will run from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Cypress Community Center, 5700 Orange Ave. Admission is $2 at the door. Tickets can be bought in advance.
