Orioles Put Kamieniecki on DL
Associated Press
The Baltimore Orioles put right-hander Scott Kamieniecki on the 15-day disabled list, leaving them without three members of their starting rotation.
Kamieniecki, who has a stiff neck, joins Mike Mussina (broken nose) and Jimmy Key (rotator cuff inflammation) on the disabled list. The only injury-free starters from the opening-day rotation are Scott Erickson and Doug Drabek.
To fill the void, the Orioles purchased the contract of Richie Lewis from triple-A Rochester. Lewis will probably start in Kamieniecki’s place Monday against the Seattle Mariners.
