A 6-year-old boy’s pulseless body was pulled from the bottom of a private swimming pool in Pacific Palisades on Saturday, authorities said.
The boy was playing with his friends at a neighbor’s house about 2 p.m. when he went into the backyard and fell into the pool, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
A maid, who couldn’t swim, heard cries for help and called 911, he said.
A passerby pulled the boy from the water, and the child was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, officials said.
