Firefighters Will Discuss Safety Tips
The Ventura County Fire Department and The Oaks mall are planning apresentation today to teach residents ways to reduce fire hazards.
Firefighters plan to discuss what to do if a home is threatened by a wildfire. The event also includes a display on drought-tolerant plants that are highly resistant to fires.
Blood pressure checks and other community services also will be available. Residents are encouraged to bring their children to meet firefighters and look at a fire engine.
The firefighters will appear at The Oaks mall Farmers’ Market, which takes place in the mall’s parking lot at 222 West Hillcrest Drive, 3-7 p.m.
The event is one of the monthly storefront events at The Oaks mall to share safety information with residents.
