Bristol Retail Solutions Inc.: The Newport Beach provider of retail automation products and services said it lost $453,000, or 8 cents a share, for the first quarter, compared with a net loss of $435,000, or 9 cents a share, for the 1997 first quarter. Revenue grew to $6.3 million from $2.7 million. The company said four acquisitions last year contributed significantly to the sales gain.
