Hollywood luminaries including Jack Nicholson, Bill Murray and Michael Douglas are expected to chip golf balls for charity during the Hard Rock Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday at the Sherwood Country Club.

The fourth annual charity tourney is also expected to draw Olympic figure skater Scott Hamilton, football legend Marcus Allen and Golden State Warriors head coach P.J. Carlesimo.

The tournament is expected to top the $1-million mark for money raised for charity. Last year’s competition raised more than $300,000 for the Casey Lee Ball Foundation and pediatric kidney research at UCLA Children’s Hospital.

The golf tournament’s music connection comes from Sterling Ball, the president of a company that makes guitars and guitar strings. Four years ago, Ball donated a kidney to his son, Casey, who needed a transplant.

Sterling teamed with the Hard Rock Cafe to host the golf tournament, which raises funds for research and treatment at the UCLA Children’s Hospital.
