Meetings Planned on Annexation Issues

The city will host informational meetings this week for residents in two small unincorporated areas that could be annexed to Brea.
City officials said the meetings on Wednesday and Thursday will explore the implications of annexation.
Residents of the Midbury Street neighborhood are invited to the Thursday meeting, at 6:30 p.m. at 1 Civic Center Circle.
The meeting for residents of the Bexley Lane neighborhood will be Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., at the same location.
The major issue of a Midbury annexation involves street reconstruction. Many residents and city officials support the annexation, but the city is seeking ways to raise about $115,000 toward the street repair.
In the smaller area of Bexley, a main issue is the need for a sewer system, which could cost about $200,000.
